The day once again has gone by fast. We had breakfast this morning around 8:45 a.m. and then we headed to shoot around at 9:15 a.m. After shoot around we got back to the hotel around 11:00 a.m. and then I went and chilled with the other 2 foreigners until it was lunch time.
For lunch we had tomato soup, spaghetti, and chicken. They always feed you a lot of food here in Turkey ha. There is no way I could eat all of it. After lunch, I took a short nap and then it was off to the game.
We played Galatasaray today in a friendly game. They are always either the 1st or 2nd team in Turkey. We were with them most of the game, but ended up losing by 16 points - 76-60. The score is not indicative of the game. That honestly was the most we were losing by during the whole game if I remember correctly. These pre-season tournaments are great opportunities to work on things that we need to work on individually and as a team. I am excited to see how our team will do this year!
After the game we stuck around and watched the other 2 teams in the tournament play for a little bit. We then came back to the hotel and got dinner. After dinner, I was hanging out with my roommate and also my teammate from Hungary. We were talking and looking at different videos on the computer. FUN TIMES with teammates :).
Tomorrow we play at 6:30 p.m. which is 11:30 a.m. EST. I will let you know how the game goes :)!!
I wanted to share with you a devotional that I read today:
Jesus Calling - By Sarah Young
"Worship me by living close to Me. This was My original design for man, into whom I breathed My very breath of Life. This is My desire for you: that you stay near Me as you walk along your life-path. Each day is an important part of that journey. ALthough you may feel as if you are going nowhere in this world, your spiritual journey is another matter altogether, taking you along steep, treacherous paths of adventure. That is why "walking in the Light of My Presence" is essential to keep you from stumbling. By staying close to Me, you present yourself as a "living sacrifice". Even the most routine part of your day can be a "spiritual act of worship, holy and pleasing to Me."
Are you worshiping the Lord with your mind, body, soul, and spirit? Each day is an OPPORTUNITY :)!! Live for the Lord friends!!!
Bed for me!
Gnight,
Megan
