Just wanted to give you an update on our game last night. So, we beat the team 92-54. I didn't realize it would be a blow out like that, but I am not aware of how teams are in this league like I was in Turkey. You are always going to have a few teams that aren't that talented in the league, and so obviously this was one of them.
Today I was able to sleep in, go to the store, make some egg salad and meatloaf for future meals. I actually had some of the meatloaf tonight after practice. I posted a couple of pictures at the top as you probably saw already. It has been figuring out what ingredients are over here and doing some baking and cooking.
Tomorrow will be a busy day as we have morning practice, language class, and a night practice. Then we will head out Saturday for the game.
I hope everyone is having a great day!
The weather is starting to change here. As I type I can hear the wind blowing. We are supposed to have rainy weather this weekend. We will see how it is. So far since I have been here the weather has been great! Now the weather is supposed to drop from the 70's to the 50's by tomorrow. Oh well, it has to get cold at some point right?
I want to give a shout out to my former teammate Kittery Maine as she celebrated her birthday today!! Happy Birthday friend :)

Verse of the day: Proverbs 10:9
“People with integrity walk safely, but those who follow crooked paths will slip and fall.”
What a great reminder to make sure we are living lives of integrity. It can be so easy to get off the beaten path, but with the Lord’s help He will enable us to pursue the straight and narrow way, and thus in the end stay safe.
My Utmost For His Highest
The moral miracle of redemption is that God can put a new nature into me through which I can live a totally new life. When I finally reach the edge of my need and know my own limitations, then Jesus says, “Blessed are you . . .” (Matthew 5:11). But I must get to that point. God cannot put into me, the responsible moral person that I am, the nature that was in Jesus Christ unless I am aware of my need for it.
When we ask the Lord to come into our hearts and lives there should be a complete change that takes place. We throw off our old selves and take on a new life with the Holy Spirit living inside of us. God makes us aware of our faults and failures when we are in tune with Him. Left to our own self, we can easily be swayed into thinking that sin is right.
