Today was a good day. This morning I woke up early to go shoot but the gym was not available, so I decided to go to the grocery store and pick up a few things to make some homemade chili. I had gotten some ground chicken so I figured I would make some chili with it. I looked up a few recipes online and tweaked them to the recipe below:
Here is the GROUND CHICKEN CHILI recipe:
1 lb of ground chicken
1 TBS vegetable oil
1 medium onion
1 green bell pepper
1 can of diced tomatoes
1 can of tomato sauce
1 can of kidney beans
2 chopped garlic cloves
1 TBS of sugar
1 1/2 TBS Chili Powder
1 tsp cumin
2-3 cups of water
1 tsp salt
1tsp pepper
I then chilled the rest of the afternoon until practice, took a short nap as well, and then headed to practice. It was nice to come home and just have to heat up the chili and make some rice. I served the chili over rice which was a perfect addition and then sprinkled some shredded cheese over the chili!
I hope everyone has had a great day!!! Just a reminder we have a "bye" week this week so we do not play until next Monday!!
God bless,
Megan
I loved part of "Jesus Calling" today:
"I know what each of your days will contain, and I empower you accordingly. The degree to which I strengthen you on a given day is based mainly on two variables: the difficulty of your circumstances, and your willingness to depend on Me for help. Try to view challenging days as opportunities to receive more of My Power than usual. Look to Me for all that you need, and watch to see what I will do. As your day, so shall your strength be."
