WOW!! As I think of Thanksgiving, I realize how much I have to be thankful for J. The Lord is so good isn’t He!!
First I want to give thanks to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!! It is unfathomable to think that God gave up His son, Jesus, to die on the cross for my sin and the sin of others. He saved us from eternal damnation and gave us the chance to have eternal life. I thank my God that he would give me that opportunity. I also thank Him for the Bible! I am fascinated every single time I open His Word J. There are so many great truths, words of wisdom, guidance, etc. As I think where I would be without Jesus, I can only imagine that I would probably not be in a good place. Jesus is the King of my life! I am so thankful that God never changes, and I am able to go to Him whenever I want to. How amazing it is, and incomprehensible at times!!
Second, I am thankful for my family. I feel extremely blessed to have wonderful parents who have raised me and brought me up with a solid foundation! From a young age they instilled in me the importance of having a personal relationship with the Lord. They were never pushy in the way that they taught me, but rather most importantly lived out their lives as reflections of Jesus. As time goes on, the more I come to appreciate my parents more and more. I also want to say thank you to their parents, my grandparents, who are reflected in their lives, and who I deeply cherish today, as well as Aunts, Uncles, and cousins! Of course, my siblings –Zeb, Molly, and Moriah…I love you!! I could not ask the Lord for a better brother or better sisters. Zeb, you inspire me, and I am so thankful for the man of God that you have become! The Lord has blessed you Zeb with many talents, I am excited to see where He leads you! I enjoy the talks we have and will always cherish the memories of growing up, when we spent countless hours outside playing, running around, you name it! Mol and Mor you are great also! I know that I can go to you about anything, and for that I am thankful J. You all make me so proud (a good kind of proud ;) )!! I have seen how hard you have worked throughout your life, and it is evidenced even now, as you both are about to graduate from Liberty and enter into the work force as nurses! I also want to thank Amy, my brother’s wife! I have enjoyed getting to know you over the past few years J. I am glad that you are now apart of the Frazee family!!
I could list so many more things I am thankful for. Just to name a few: my health, friends (love you all!!), safety, shelter, food, opportunities of a lifetime that the Lord has allowed me to partake in, and the list could go on and on. I challenge you to stop in the hustle and bustle of every day life, and take some time to reflect on things that you are thankful for! Thanksgiving is a day that spurns us to think about being thankful, but the reality of it is, we need to be thankful at all times!!
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it al in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving THANKS to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17
HAPPY early THANKSGIVING J!!!!
