I got to thinking about failure and God's love for us. You know, I messed up on the cornbread. Was it a big deal? No, it wasn't. In life there are times where we mess up or make a mistake and we beat ourselves up for it. Do we all make mistakes?? YES!!! Praise the Lord we serve a God who LOVES us unconditionally and eternally. Sometimes it is hard for me to grasp the concept of spending eternity with the Lord. I am so thankful that I can come to the Lord as a sinner and unworthy, and because of His LOVE for me, He sets me free of my sin and makes me worthy. As I was listening to some music today, the song "Power of Your Love" by Hillsong came on. As, I was looking it up on youtube, I ran across another great song. If you click on the links below you can access the songs.

Some verses on God's LOVE that I wanted to share:
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
1 John 4:9-12
By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has beheld God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.
John 13:34-35
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

I figured I would break up my normal blog routine. Tomorrow we have a meeting at 2:30 p.m. and then practice after that. It is hard to believe that tomorrow could potentially be our last practice. If we lose on Wednesday our season will come to and end and we will be flying out Friday.
I will keep you all updated on how everything turns out. We won't be going down without putting up a fight!
Who is going to win tonight's game?? I am pulling for Butler, but may the best team win :)
Goodnight!
God bless,
Megan
