We are back from a long day of travel. I had a great time last night getting to see the Kremlin, the Red Square, and just being able to walk around a little bit in Moscow. I posted a picture up above of the Kremlin I was able to see last night and try to capture. It was rainy and cold, but it was worth it to get to see some cool sights and places.
We were able to sleep in this morning and then we started our trek back to Istanbul. I made it back to the apartment around 8:00 p.m. and it was nice to be able to have a little bit of relaxation before hitting the road again tomorrow. I stopped at the store and got ingredients to make tacos, then I did laundry from the road trip, unpacked, and then repacked to leave tomorrow. We leave tomorrow afternoon to fly to Samsun and then bus to Ordu. We will practice tomorrow evening and practice Saturday and then we play on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. We are hoping to get back in the winning column on Sunday.
2 practices, 1 game, and 1 off day stand between me and flying home for Christmas break on December 23rd!! If you can't tell I am just a tad excited ;)
We are all pretty tired, but anxiously awaiting our break coming up next week! The second half of the season will be less strenuous on our bodies, because we will no longer be in Eurocup so we won't have that extra travel added into the mix of the once a week travel we already have.
Well, it is bed for me soon!
T-4 days until I fly home :)!!!!!!
God bless,
Megan
Here is reading from today:
December 18th
1 Samuel 17/Revelation 16
1 Samuel 17 – David defeats Goliath. What an amazing display of character David shows in that he lets Goliath know that he comes in the name of the Lord to conquer and defeat him. May we have the kind of faith and courage that David displayed.
Revelation 16 – God’s wrath is poured out through “seven bowls”. The Lord encourages us to be ready for the Lord and eager for His return.
