We made it safe and sound to Konya. We left close to midnight last night, and then got here to Konya at 8 a.m. My morning was busy working out and then we had afternoon practice. After practice we had dinner, and then some girls came to my room to chat. There is a girl from my first year overseas playing that came (we were teammates) and then there is a girl who was from Greece and we played together in Poland last year, and she is playing in Turkey for another team. So, we chatted for awhile about all kinds of stuff - was nice to catch up for sure.
Tomorrow morning we have a shoot around in the morning and then I am going to work out, and then we have lunch.
We play tomorrow night at 7:15 p.m. against Besiktas. So, that means the game is at 12:15 p.m. EST, so it will be a late game for us. We will probably go early and watch some of the game before ours. If we finish in the top two this weekend we will then qualify for the Turkish Cup which is January 2nd - 6th.
October 11th - "Jesus Calling"
I AM THE CULMINATION of all your hopes and desires. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last: who is and was and is to come. Before you knew Me, you expressed your longing for Me in hurtful ways. You were ever so vulnerable to the evil around you in the world. But now My Presence safely shields you, enfolding you in My loving arms. I have lifted you out of darkness into my marvelous Light.
Though I have brought many pleasures into your life, not one of them is essential. Receive My blessings with open hands. Enjoy My good gifts, but do not cling to them. Turn your attention to the Giver of all good things, and rest in the knowledge that you are complete in Me. The one thing you absolutely need is the one thing you can never lose: My Presence with you.”
The last sentence of the devotional stuck out to me!! "The one thing you absolutely need is the one thing you can never lose. My Presence with you". - THANKFUL for the Lord's presence at all times!!!!!
I will let you know how the game goes!!
