I had two practices today. The morning practice was just shooting, and then the afternoon practice was an actual practice. This afternoon I worked on some homework and rested. I also stopped by the store to get a few things as well.
On the way home tonight, Jo and I stopped at a fruit vendor to buy some fresh fruit. We both had made comments on how the fruit looked really good...I got some fresh figs and bananas. Check out the two pictures of the figs at the bottom of my blog. For dinner tonight, Jo and I stopped by our usual place and I got a chicken sandwich with rice.
This evening, I have been relaxing and also did some more work on my big project.
I also listened to the message this week from Thomas Road Baptist Church which was really good!
Today's Verse:
Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.— Ephesians 5:19-20 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...Hearts full of thanks -- that's what makes for good singing! With Jesus as the source of our salvation and center of our future, how can we not sing! But singing is not just for us and God. God wants our songs to bless others. It is our ultimate spiritual talk.
My Utmost For His Highest:
A Christian worker has to learn how to be God’s man or woman of great worth and excellence in the midst of a multitude of meager and worthless things. Never protest by saying, “If only I were somewhere else!” All of God’s people are ordinary people who have been made extraordinary by the purpose He has given them. Unless we have the right purpose intellectually in our minds and lovingly in our hearts, we will very quickly be diverted from being useful to God.
Our Daily Bread:
Spiritual look-alikes appear good but their “fruit” is toxic.
A Prayer:
Help me, Lord, to be discerning and not let others
lead me astray with their falsehood. May the fruit
of my life be an example of a follower of Christ. Amen.
A false life belies a true faith.

I hope you all have a wonderful day :) I wanted to add a picture of some fresh figs I bought today. Last year I bought some dried ones, but this year I wanted to actually try them fresh, and boy are they good..
