We stayed at the same hotel as I did last year with my team, so I took some pics of the Marina again. Istanbul University was our last away game of the season last year; this year we play them early.
We were supposed to fly home late last night after the game, but our plane was delayed a long time, so the coaches and manager decided to let us spend the night in Istanbul so we could get some rest. I have to say I was impressed with how organized everything was after we found out we were going to spend the night in Istanbul.
After the game we hung out at a mall for awhile and ate dinner there. We then went to the airport because our flight was supposed to leave at 11:30 p.m., but then we found out that it was delayed with a high probability of being canceled. We got to the airport early for our flight, and ended up leaving about the time it should have taken off. The picture at the bottom of my blog is some of my teammates and me hanging out in the airport :)
I will post a link to a few more pictures that I took in tomorrow's blog.

I urge, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
— 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...God wants us to be a praying people. But more than that, God wants us to pray for people. The blessing of that kind of prayerful life is that we get to live peaceful and quiet lives full of godliness and holiness. So pray, dear friend in Jesus, pray as if world peace depends upon it, because it does!
My Utmost For His Highest:
The circumstances of a saint’s life are ordained of God. In the life of a saint there is no such thing as chance. God by His providence brings you into circumstances that you can’t understand at all, but the Spirit of God understands. God brings you to places, among people, and into certain conditions to accomplish a definite purpose through the intercession of the Spirit in you. Never put yourself in front of your circumstances and say, “I’m going to be my own providence here; I will watch this closely, or protect myself from that.” All your circumstances are in the hand of God, and therefore you don’t ever have to think they are unnatural or unique. Your part in intercessory prayer is not to agonize over how to intercede, but to use the everyday circumstances and people God puts around you by His providence to bring them before His throne, and to allow the Spirit in you the opportunity to intercede for them. In this way God is going to touch the whole world with His saints.
I loved this entry!! AMAZING :)
Our Daily Bread:
So what would a church have to do to display the presence of God? Its people would have to live like Him! Dynamics like hospitality, the loving acceptance of all kinds of people, a quickness to serve, a tangible love for one another that makes people feel safe and included regardless of color or class, and a patient tolerance of one another’s weaknesses would all be a great way to start. Paul said we should walk in a manner “worthy of the Lord” (Col. 1:10). And he also said that being worthy means that we will be humble, gentle, bearing with one another in love, eagerly maintaining the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Eph. 4:2-3).
Let’s live in such a way that others will experience the presence of the God who lives in us—wherever we are, but especially at church.
The world gets a glimpse of God
When those who claim to be
The followers of Jesus Christ
Are living righteously. —Sper
Those who walk with Christ bring the presence of God to everyone around them.
We have tomorrow morning off, and then back to work tomorrow afternoon. We play Ceyhan this week who is 3-0 like us as well, so it will be a good game for us.
God bless,
Megan
