First off with it being Veteran's Day, I want to take the time to thank all of you who have served in our military or are currently serving. You give us the opportunity daily to exercise the freedoms that you have so bravely fought to keep and maintain. Thank you for your courage, bravery, valor, and honor!!!
Today was a good day. We were able to sleep in, then we went out into the community and walked around. It was a good walk! The Turkish girls took the opportunity to talk to different people and tell them about our game tomorrow. Tomorrow is a BIG game for us against Fortuna (team from Lithuania). It is our 2nd Eurocup game, and we are hoping to get a BIG win!!
You may be able to follow the live stats here tomorrow. Scroll down the screen to our game on 11/12/15 and you should be able to track it live. We play at 6:00 p.m. here which is 11:00 a.m. EST.

You may be able to follow here too also. You will see different boxes with groups A-H and we are group C. If you click on the group C box you should be able to see our team name and follow that way hopefully.

I am not really sure about the Eurocup live stat links, but hopefully one or both of these options will work. We are traveling back to Istanbul after the game tomorrow night, so I will be sure to post an update when I get home tomorrow night even though it will be a later post!
I am headed to film here in a few minutes to watch of the other team, and then will call it a night shortly after that.
God bless,
Megan
Reading for the day:
November 11th
Judges 15/Hebrews 8
Judges 15 – Samson ties 300 foxes up after catching them and sets them loose in the field and they then go on to burn many fields. At the end of the chapter Samson kills 1,000 Philistines with a jawbone. Imagine the strength that the Lord infused Samson with to be able to do that.
Hebrews 8 – God promises to make a new covenant in which He will write his laws in our hearts and place them in our minds. We are all born with an innate sense of right and wrong. God placed in each of us a conscience to distinguish between right and wrong. He created us all with a free will to choose. The question for you and for me – are we choosing to do what is right and pleasing to the Lord or area we choosing the way of the world?
