When we got back to the apartment, we met again today for Bibles Study. Today we went over Chapter 2 of Romans...what a neat chapter!! The Lord allowed us once again to have some great conversations. Romans 2 talks a lot about not judging others. I think we are all guilty of that from time to time...what a great reminder!!
After Bible study, we relaxed some and then I made supper with Jo...well mainly Jo, but I cut some things up etc. We had chicken in red sauce with peppers, onions, and garlic. We also had potato soup along with some awesome Kenya bread. I wanted to learn how to make the bread, kind of like tortillas, but a little thicker and better :). Jo allowed me to roll out the dough...it was a lot of FUN!! The first couple of times I rolled out the dough, it was a little misshaped, but then I got a lot better...thanks Jo for the tips along the way too!! Dinner was definitely a success tonight :)
I want to say congrats to Julie and Josh on their engagement last night!! I had several classes at Liberty with Julie and Julie was roommates with my sisters at Liberty for a year. Josh and Julie, you both are perfect for one another :)
I hope you all have a blessed night!
Verses of the day:
Psalm 59:16-17 “But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. O my Strength, I sing praise to you; you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God.”
Philippians 2:1-5 “If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being likeminded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.”
Proverbs 4:23-26 “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm.”
