Tomorrow is game day here in Ramat Hasharon. We are looking to continue our 4 game winning streak and push it out to 5 games. I will let you know how it goes :)!!
Today was a busy but good day. I went to the fitness center in the morning and got an extra workout in and then I did some reading this afternoon as well as took a nap before practice tonight.
Reading for today:
January 14th
Genesis 10/Luke10
Genesis 10 – this chapter accounts the three sons of Noah and their ancestry. While at times it may get “boring” to read, it is important that the lineage is tracked and recorded.
Luke 10 – This is jammed packed with a lot of good stuff. I really liked these verses:
Vs. 19-20 says, “Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. But don’t rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven.” This is really neat, because although the Lord does give them power and strength to heal and cast demons out he wants them to ultimately remember to REJOICE because they will be living eternally in Heaven as a result of their relationship with Jesus. I also love when Jesus addresses the disciples about “loving their neighbor” – Jesus is the ultimate example of love to and for us!! May we strive to love those around us like He did and even to love those who we may not feel like loving, but who still need to be loved (example of the Good Samaritan). The chapter ended with Jesus talking to Mary and Martha. What a great reminder to not get so busy that we do not set aside quality time spent with Jesus.
For dinner I made some homemade BBQ chicken as well as some homemade sweet potato fries. The meal turned out great :) Here is a picture below:
