Today was a good day :) I slept in, made some cookies for my teammates, took a nap, read, and then practiced this evening. We are playing Gorzow tomorrow here in Polkowice at 5:45 p.m. (11:45 a.m. EST). I know the game is on TVP Wroclaw, so you may or may not be able to access that online.
I will let you know how we do after the game.
The Lady Flames play their first game of the season tonight against UNC Greensboro! Good luck!
Verse of the Day:
Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.— 2 Corinthians 2:14
My Utmost For His Highest:
“If the providential will of God means a hard and difficult time for you, go through it. But never decide the place of your own martyrdom, as if to say, “I will only go to there, but no farther.” God chose the test for Abraham, and Abraham neither delayed nor protested, but steadily obeyed. If you are not living in touch with God, it is easy to blame Him or pass judgment on Him. You must go through the trial before you have any right to pronounce a verdict, because by going through the trial you learn to know God better. God is working in us to reach His highest goals until His purpose and our purpose become one.”
Wow! I am amazed at the thoughts of Oswald Chambers. I can tell by what he writes, that his heard was in tune with the Lord. We need to give all of ourselves over to the Lord. It reminds me of being an athlete. There is a whole gamut of things that makes up the quality of an athlete. You can’t just pinpoint athletic ability, or how they eat, sleep, attitude, etc. as to why someone is a good athlete. Same thing as a Christian – we have many different talents and abilities that the Lord has blessed us with. When we choose to just surrender one part of our life, then how do we expect the Lord to use us? When we surrender all of us (even the parts we may not want to), we could be surprised at how the Lord uses us! Are you ready to surrender ALL?
Reminds me of this song:
