Still no definitive news on my elbow. I will keep you posted. The team traveled back today from Spain. I got an ultrasound today on my elbow and it indicated that there is something going on in my elbow. Tomorrow I get an MRI and hopefully will have more of a definitive diagnosis by the end of the week.
We have practice tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. and then play against Valencia on Friday at 7:00 p.m. which is 1:00 p.m. EST. The game is on TVP Spor, to feel free to check it out. I will not be playing, but still root the team on!! Go CCC!! :)
I hope everyone has a great evening!
Verse of the Day:
"The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring." Isaiah 58:11
These verses are just what I needed right now. Isn't it amazing how the Lord allows us to read certain verses at certain times in our life when we need them the most? Do you need your strength restored today? Do you feel like you need some water after wandering around in "the desert"? We serve a God who can give us an everlasting an eternal water that is capable of healing, restoring, replenishing, and nourishing. WOW! When I truly reflect on the Lord and all that He has done for me, I am thankful. Thankful that in the good times and the bad He is faithful. He is there to fill my cup when it is empty. He He is simply THERE!
My Utmost For His Highest:
The Discipline of Spiritual Perseverance
Be still, and know that I am God . . . —Psalm 46:10
Perseverance is more than endurance. It is endurance combined with absolute assurance and certainty that what we are looking for is going to happen. Perseverance means more than just hanging on, which may be only exposing our fear of letting go and falling. Perseverance is our supreme effort of refusing to believe that our hero is going to be conquered. Our greatest fear is not that we will be damned, but that somehow Jesus Christ will be defeated. Also, our fear is that the very things our Lord stood for— love, justice, forgiveness, and kindness among men— will not win out in the end and will represent an unattainable goal for us. Then there is the call to spiritual perseverance. A call not to hang on and do nothing, but to work deliberately, knowing with certainty that God will never be defeated.
If our hopes seem to be experiencing disappointment right now, it simply means that they are being purified. Every hope or dream of the human mind will be fulfilled if it is noble and of God. But one of the greatest stresses in life is the stress of waiting for God. He brings fulfillment, “because you have kept My command to persevere . . .” (Revelation 3:10).
Continue to persevere spiritually.
