Hey All, Today has been a great day. We had off today which was really nice. I didn't post a blog yesterday, but wanted to let you all know we WON our game!! We are now 10-11 in Turkish League and have 5 more games to go. The season continues to wind down, and as it is coming closer to the end our team is pushing for a playoff spot. We have won 4 out of our last 5 games and have moved into the #8 spot with potential to move all the way up to the #6 spot before the end of the season if we win a few more games. I wanted to share a little bit what the Lord has been teaching me these last few weeks. As I desire to finish the season strong, at times that can be easier said than done. The Lord has graciously allowed me, as well as my teammates, to start to be able to WIN some games which has been a huge blessing. I just want to encourage YOU to stay in the fight (whatever you may be facing or dealing with)...don't give up....persevere...maintain joy...encourage those around you....and ENJOY the moments that each day brings. If I am honest, this last month hasn't been easy. Saying bye to Caleb, planning details for the wedding, and thinking about the TON of things I have to do once I get back, BUT....the Lord has been gracious and so kind to bring me through. It is already March 15th, and before I know it it will be April and then onto May. I really asked the Lord to change my heart. The Lord prodded my heart and was like "Megan, relax....rest in me....enjoy each day. Don't let moments slip by that you are presently in simply because you are thinking of what lies ahead. I hold your tomorrow in my hands, so grab a hold of my hand and walk with me. I will take care of your every need and concern." Since I have taken the focus off of "me" or "trivial things of this world" I feel a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders. I have to let Him truly lead and guide me which isn't always easy especially for a planner like myself. I really have to thank the Lord for bringing Caleb and me together because talking with him about my struggles and other things, I realize how he balances me out and between the two of us I feel like we tackle things appropriately and yeah it is just a BLESSING every time I get to facetime him or chat with him on the phone. That was a little tangent lol...but I so look forward to what the Lord has in store for US :) It is back to the practice floor for us tomorrow. Our next game is on Wednesday against Canik. We are here in Urdu through Saturday. Our game on Wednesday is against Canik which is only 2 hours away from Ordu, so we will spend the night in Samsun Tuesday and play them on Wednesday then drive back to Ordu after our game on Wednesday. God bless, Megan |
