Today I had off which was super nice. My sisters and I woke up early and headed to Poznan. Poznan is about a 2 hour drive from Polkowice. We met up with another girl, Esther, who went to the same University that we did. She is currently in medical school in Poznan. There is an International Church in Poznan, so I always enjoy being able to sing songs in English and also be able to understand the message. Don't get me wrong, I am thankful to be in a church whether I understand the message or not, but it makes me appreciate even more the opportunities when I am able to listen to a complete message in English while overseas - pretty special!!
The message today was phenomenal! The pastor was talking about some of the commandments that we find in the Bible. He made an interesting statement. He said, "The closer we are to the Lord, the easier it is to follow His commandments". The statement is so simple, yet so profound. There are times when I will hear people say, "I don't know how you can follow everything that the Lord wants you to". The reality of it is, WE CAN'T on our own. It is with the help of the Lord that He will lead and guide us and draw us closer to Himself. Are you close to the Lord? Do you find yourself straying away from what the Lord would want you to do?
Here is a link to Moriah's (my sister) pictures that she has taken so far while here! ENJOY :)

Verse of the Day:
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped...--Philippians 2:5-6
My Utmost For His Highest:
"Are you willing to sacrifice yourself for the work of another believer—to pour out your life sacrificially for the ministry and faith of others?"
I also linked a song that we sang today in church. I thought it was so neat, because I always listen to this song before each and every one of my basketball games. It reminds me that Jesus is my everything!! What or who is your everything??
Have a wonderful week ahead! It is back to the practice floor for me tomorrow with 2 practices. Stay tuned, you may get the awesome privilege of hearing from Molly or Moriah in the next couple days on my blog to share some experiences with you that they have had so far here in Poland.
