Hey Hey,
Today has been a good Monday! We had 2 practices today, so it was kind of grueling and yet I survived. We had a morning practice that consisted of a lot of drill work and shooting and then an evening practice that was a lot of playing. We are low in numbers with some people hurt, so we only have 8 people right now practicing. Your prayers would be appreciated that people can recover quickly.
Tomorrow we have one practice, but a lot of the day will be busy with scout for the game on Wednesday and then all of us foreigners have to go get our pictures taken for visas that we need. We need a work visa here in Turkey and then a visa for Russia as well.
Thankful for another Monday complete :) God is so faithful and so good!! I hope you all are dong well! Remember that God is in control of the "good" and the "bad". Trials happen for a reason...keep looking UP!
Reading for today:
Judges 4/Matthew 25
Judges 4 – The Lord uses Deborah, a woman who is seeking to follow the Lord’s guidance, to defeat the Canaanite King. God is capable of doing extraordinary things through us if we are willing to be a vessel empty and poured out for him.
Matthew 25 – The parable of the bridesmaids is a great reminder that we are to be ready and prepared at all times. Five of the bridesmaids brought extra oil, and five of them didn’t. A take away point: Are we doing the bare minimum in our walk with Christ or are we striving to deepen our walk and go above and beyond to make sure we are prepared for His return. What an opportunity we have to be a LIGHT!
God bless,
Megan
