Today was a busy day! I woke up and went to workout. After working out I walked home and was in my apartment for a total of 15 minutes to shower then I was out the door headed to Wroclaw. I found out on the way, that I was going to be getting another MRI. Yes, you heard right another MRI :). So I got another MRI and then we had to wait for an hour and a half for the results. Praise the Lord we were able to get the results today and not have to wait further.
Poland's medicine is socialistic, so unless you have connections or money, you will typically wait a long time. In this particular case, I am an athlete and my assistant coach knew someone at the hospital I had my MRI taken so we were able to get quicker results. Apparently the first MRI they did was not clear enough, so they wanted to take more pictures. Now I am waiting on my trainer to correspond with a well known orthopedic doctor here in Poland to go over the results before they determine a definitive game plan. I will keep you posted. Praise the Lord my ligament tear was not as severe as what they thought!!
All in all today was a good day but long. Here is what my schedule looked like today. I left my apartment at 9:30 a.m. to go workout. I walked to the gym and got a great bike workout in. I walked back at 11:15 a.m. and was out the door a little after 11:30 a.m. I left for Wroclaw and arrived there a little after 1:00 p.m. I had my MRI at 2:00 p.m. then found out my MRI results around 3:30 p.m. Then we stopped for a bite to eat at the ever luxurious McDonalds and then started our trip home around 4:15 p.m. Because of traffic, I got back to Polkowice around 6:30 p.m. I talked with my trainer once I got there and was there for about an hour and then I headed to the AquaPark to get therapy there at 7:15 p.m. After therapy I walked home and got here at 8:00 p.m. So, what a busy day, and I can say I am glad to be back in my apartment :).
Through it all though, GOD IS GOOD :)!!!!
I hope everyone has had a great week!
Verse of the Day:
In those days John the Baptist came ... saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."--Matthew 3:1-2
"These words sound strange in a world that is afraid to tell the truth about sin, wickedness, and evil. Yet every lost person desperately needs to repent -- to change his or her heart and life, seek after God, and live for Jesus as Lord. Yes, salvation is given to us by God's incredible grace. On the other hand, grace that leaves us unchanged is not true grace. Grace not only forgives us through Jesus' sacrificial death on the Cross, but it also liberates us from the empty and destructive life without God and his guidance."
My Utmost For His Highest:
"Our Lord never asks questions until the perfect time."
SO TRUE! His ways and timing are perfect.
