- VERSE OF THE WEEK:
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all those whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.” Isaiah 26:3-4
The Lord has reminded me time and time again through this injury that He is faithful. I was reflecting on the awesomeness of the Lord and these were some words that came to mind - Jesus is: my Savior, my everything, the present, the past, and the future, joy, peace, strength, honesty, helpful, gentle, loving, kind, compassionate, my all, my FATHER, daddy, redeemer, supporter, encourager, defender, healer, example, , giver of life, and the list could go on and on. Do you know my Jesus??? Jesus is not wanting any of us to perish. He is waiting for you with open arms. Run to Him, and I promise He will give you the best hug that anyone could ever give you, and the great thing about Him is, he never lets go of us. You think about hugs down on this earth - they are always temporary - but the hug that Jesus gives to those who run to Him is eternal. He wants to be your guide in this life. He promises to defend us, protect us, and guide us. I am so thankful for my eternal Heavenly Father. Pretty cool if you ask me. Who have you chosen to run to? Have you chosen Jesus, or have you chosen the world? The world will always disappoint, but Jesus NEVER DISAPPOINTS.
Below is the link to the church service I watched on Sunday:

The service title you will click on, once the link above opens up, is "WHEN TROUBLE STRIKES". The message is from March 4th.
Jeremiah 1:2 - “I knew you before I formed you in our mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart.”
Jeremiah 1:19b - “For I am with you, and I will take care of you.”
Jeremiah 2:1 - “I remember how eager you were to please me as a young bride long ago, how you loved me and followed me even through the barren wilderness.”
Jeremiah 3:14-16 - “Return home, you wayward children. Says the Lord, for I am your master. I will bring you back to the land of Israel – one from this town and two from that family from wherever you are scattered. And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will guide you with knowledge and understanding.”
Jeremiah 3:22 - “My wayward children, says the Lord, come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts.”
Jeremiah 4:b - “…surrender your pride and power. Change your hearts before the Lord.”
Jeremiah 5:22 - “I, the Lord, define the ocean’s sandy shoreline as an everlasting boundary that the waters cannot cross. The waves may toss and roar, but they can never pass the boundaries I set.”
Jeremiah 9:23-24 - “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in the power, or the rich boast in their riches. But those how wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things, I the Lord have spoken.”
Jeremiah 10:6-7 - “Lord, there is no like you! For you are great, and your name is full of power. Who would not fear you, O King of nations? That title belongs to you alone! Among all the wise people of the earth and in all the kingdoms of the world, there is no one like you.”
Jeremiah 10:10 - “But the Lord is the only true God. He is the living God and the everlasting King! The whole earth trembles at his anger. The nations cannot stand up to his wrath.”
Jeremiah 10:12-16 - “But God made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens. When he speaks in the thunder, the heavens roar with rain. He causes the clouds to rise over the earth. He sends the lightning with the rain and releases the wind from his storehouses. The whole human race is foolish and has no knowledge! The craftsmen are disgraced by the idols they make, for their carefully shaped works are a fraud. These idols have no breath or power. Idols are worthless; they are ridiculous lies! On the day of reckoning they will all be destroyed. But the God of Israelis no idol! He is the Creator of everything that exists, including Israel, his own special possession. The LORD of Heaven’s Armies is his name!”
Jeremiah 10:23 - “I know, Lord, that our lives are not our won. We are not able to plan our own course.”
Jeremiah 13:16a - “Give glory to the Lord your God before it is too late.”
Jeremiah 14:22 - “Can any of the worthless foreign gods send us rain? Does it fall from the sky by itself? No, you are the one, O Lord our God! Only you can do such things. So we will wait for you to help us.”
Jeremiah 15:16 - “When I discovered your words, I devoured them. They are my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies.”
Jeremiah 15:19-21 - “If you return to me, I will restore you so you can continue to serve me. If you speak good words rather than worthless ones, you will be my spokesman. You must influence them; do not let them influence you! They will fight against you like an attacking army, but I will make you as secure as a fortified wall of bronze. They will not conquer you, for I am with you to protect and rescue you. I, the Lord, have spoken! Yes, I will certainly keep you safe from these wicked men. I will rescue you from their cruel hands.”
Jeremiah 16:19 - “Lord you are my strength and fortress, my refuge in the day of trouble.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 - “But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green and they never stop producing fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:14 - “O Lord, if you heal me, I will be truly healed; if you save me, I will be truly saved. My praises are for you alone.”
Jeremiah 17:7b - “You alone are my hope in the day of disaster.”
Jeremiah 18:6b - “As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.”
Jeremiah 20:11 - “But the Lord stands beside me like a great warrior. Before him my persecutors will stumble. They cannot defeat me.”

My Utmost For His Highest: TAKING THE STEP
. . . in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses —2 Corinthians 6:4
When you have no vision from God, no enthusiasm left in your life, and no one watching and encouraging you, it requires the grace of Almighty God to take the next step in your devotion to Him, in the reading and studying of His Word, in your family life, or in your duty to Him. It takes much more of the grace of God, and a much greater awareness of drawing upon Him, to take that next step, than it does to preach the gospel.
Every Christian must experience the essence of the incarnation by bringing the next step down into flesh-and-blood reality and by working it out with his hands. We lose interest and give up when we have no vision, no encouragement, and no improvement, but only experience our everyday life with its trivial tasks. The thing that really testifies for God and for the people of God in the long run is steady perseverance, even when the work cannot be seen by others. And the only way to live an undefeated life is to live looking to God. Ask God to keep the eyes of your spirit open to the risen Christ, and it will be impossible for drudgery to discourage you. Never allow yourself to think that some tasks are beneath your dignity or too insignificant for you to do, and remind yourself of the example of Christ in John 13:1-17 .
