Tough game today! We lost the game to Mersin today. I woke up early and went and worked out. I watched the game and then after the game I hung out with a couple of my friends which was nice. Tomorrow we have practice again.
God bless, Megan Hey All,
It is game day tomorrow. Today was a good day here. We had practice in the afternoon and then I went to the grocery store to get stocked up on some fruit. I am fixing salmon with squash and cauliflower tonight for dinner. I will be sure and let you know how the game goes tomorrow. We play at 9:00 a.m. EST against Mersin. We have 7 regular season games left. I will not be playing tomorrow, but I will let you know how the game goes. God bless, Megan Hey All,
Today was a good day. What a blessing we have to be able to see another day on this earth. I was reminded of the brevity of life, when I received a text from my sister this morning saying that one of our teammates from college had texted her, telling her that her dad was going into surgery this morning for a brain tumor that was found just a few days ago. Life is too short to hold grudges and life is too short to live carelessly. How many of us walk around at some point in our lives with a chip on our shoulder? The reality is we have so much to be thankful for. Some of the biggest blessings we have come in the form of family members. Take the time to thank the Lord for what He has done in your life. We can't control how other people act to us or around us, but we can control how we act and what we say around others. I was struck with the importance of shining Jesus' light for the world to see it. As we head into another weekend, may we ever be cognizant of how we are "living" on a daily basis. God bless, Megan Hey All,
I survived day #1 back in Turkey for the last part of the season. My body is tired, but I am hanging in there. We had practice today and then I took the metro back and went to the grocery store on the way home. Back to the practice floor tomorrow. God bless, Megan I made it safely back to Turkey. All 3 of my flights went great. I will be back over here until the end of the season. Our last regular season game is April 3rd. I will continue to keep you all updated as the season progresses. Our next game is on Sunday against Mersin.
Also, I forgot to mention that while I was stateside I was able to take in 3 Liberty Basketball games. We watched the men play 2 games in which they lost both and then the women's team played one game in which they lost as well. I came away thinking that maybe I need to stop going to Liberty Basketball games ;) God bless, Megan Hey All,
I am headed back across the water today to go to Turkey. We have a game this weekend and then we have the Turkish Cup next week. I will keep you posted on how things go. I have really enjoyed my time back home. It has been a blessing to be with Caleb as well as see some of my family. I spent a few days in Bristol, and then Caleb and I headed to Lynchburg to meet up with my sisters and parents. We had a great weekend in Lynchburg for sure. We have 7 games left in the regular season and will finish April 3rd with that. It will be hard to say bye to Caleb again, but thankful the season is coming to a close soon. God bless, Megan I wanted to write a quick blog and let you know I made it safely back to tbhr USA :)!! Going to enjoy my break now!
God bless, Megan Hey All,
So we lost a tough game yesterday that is for sure. The environment we went to play in was pretty "hostile". The lights were turned down or out 4 different times throughout the time we were in the gym. Of course, this does not affect the outcome of the game, but yeah definitely a tough place to play. We got home late last night and I had a pretty bad headache, so I ended up going to bed as soon as I got back. I slept in today which was nice!! So thankful to get some much needed rest. I went to another Turkish League game this afternoon with a teammate and then came back and relaxed. I finished up my packing and will be heading to the airport in a few hours. I will try to update at least once or twice while I am stateside. It will be a busy week trying to see friends and family but so much needed and so worth it. I head out from my apartment at 3:00 a.m. here which is still in the evening tonight States time. I will head back to Turkey on February 23rd and get back here on the 24th. The Lord has sustained me through this season so far and for that I am so thankful! God bless, Megan It is game day tomorrow here against Edirne. This is our last game before we have a 2 week break from games. I found out today that I will be playing tomorrow. We play at 5:30 p.m. Which is 10:30 a.m. EST. I will let you know how the game goes!
God bless, Megan |
