You may find yourself in a hard time right now, and I encourage you to "look up" to THE ONE who wants you to come into His arms so He can carry you. He will lead and guide you through whatever you are facing. I can say from personal experience that the Lord can and will bring you through the good times and the bad. It has been amazing to me this summer, how the Lord has showed me His faithfulness. He has showed me that He is all I need. I don't have to worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will take care of itself. There is a freedom that you and I can have when we set our minds on things above. The trivial cares of this world fall to the wayside when we focus our gaze heavenward! Who or what are you focusing your eyes on? I can tell you that this world and people will disappoint, but the Lord never does.
Do you find yourself waiting for a job, waiting for "the right opportunity"? I encourage you that your time of waiting is not in vain. "Waiting on the Lord" can be and is very beneficial. God wants to use you and He wants to use me. He wants to use us in the "waiting times".
A good friend of mine sent me Psalm 27 to read. The whole Psalm is outstanding, but I really loved the verse below:
Psalm 27:14 says,
"Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord."
This verse was exactly what I needed to read. I can say that this summer has been one of the best summers I have had in awhile. The Lord has brought me through an elbow surgery, allowed me to rehab great, I have been able to spend time with friends and family, and most importantly continue to grow in my walk with the Lord. It is amazing to me when we surrender ourselves over to God, how he can just blow our minds and bless us with things that we never thought were possible before. I have been blessed so much this summer in so many different ways, and many of those being unexpected. All I can sit back and say is - Go God!! :)
I know a lot of you are probably wondering where I will be playing this next year. It is crazy to think I will be embarking on year #4 of playing overseas. Each year has brought with it different trials and blessings. I have seen the hand of God on my life with every single year, but honestly I can say that the past 3 years since college, I feel like I have grown so much in my walk with the Lord. I am excited to see where He will lead me this year. I should be closing in on a deal soon, and when I do, I will be sure to keep you all posted. I am excited to get back out on the court and compete again. I have been able to have some great workouts this summer and I am so thankful.
I am going to do my best to start blogging more regularly while not overseas. Have a great weekend!!!! :)
I want to give a shout out to my good friend Sharon - Happy Birthday friend!!!!! :)
Until next time,
Megan
