Hey All,
I saw this mosque today on the way to the Hilton hotel to lift, so I thought I would share it with you! This picture I found on the internet, but I will be posting pictures soon when I take some.
Today was a great day! We had lifting in the morning. It is pretty awesome, because we get to lift in the Hilton hotel here in Adana. The accommodations are very nice.
After lifting, I went back to my apartment and took a little nap. I can still feel my body is getting used to the 7 hour time change, but things are going well. At 2:00 p.m., I left with my American teammates to go get some more tests done at the hospital. Today was a stress test, seeing an orthopedic doctor, and going to an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) doctor. I guess I can say I am healthy after having all of these tests lol.
This evening I completed my first practice with the team. It has been great to be able to get back out on the court...thank you Lord! The girls on the team are wonderful, so it is nice being surrounded by encouragement. Practice went well! They gave me a quick run through of the plays, which went well, and then we did a lot of drill work as well.
Tonight, my roommate (Jolene Anderson) and I decided to walk back after practice. Jo has a great sense of direction, so between the two of us we made it home safe and sound. It is about a 20 minute walk to and from the gym. We were told that we could get bikes, so I think we are going to take them up on their offer. The walk home was nice though, got to see some different sights and sounds that I had not seen before. I plan on taking pictures this weekend sometime to post so you all can get a taste of Adana, Turkey.
So, I just found out that it is back to the hospital tomorrow with my roommates and some Turkish girls, so we will see what we have to do tomorrow after lifting ha. I will be glad when we can just rest between practices :)
Tomorrow we have a shoot around in the morning, then we leave for 3:00 p.m. to head to Mersin. We are going to be playing against them in a friendly game tomorrow night at 5:00 p.m. I will let you know how that goes! Well, that is all from me for now, I am off to go to a little bit of school work.

Verse of the day:
Isaiah 6:8: "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"
*Are you willing to say the very words above? Imagine what the world would be like if Christians took this verse to heart. I can tell you there would be a mighty movement of the Lord!!
My Utmost for His Highest
"I wonder what finger and thumb God has been using to squeeze you? Have you been as hard as a marble and escaped? If you are not ripe yet, and if God had squeezed you anyway, the wine produced would have been remarkably bitter. To be a holy person means that the elements of our natural life experience the very presence of God as they are providentially broken in His service. We have to be placed into God and brought into agreement with Him before we can be broken bread in His hands. Stay right with God and let Him do as He likes, and you will find that He is producing the kind of bread and wine that will benefit His other children."
Daily Bread:
"Whatever you’re doing today, cultivate an attitude of praise. Whether it is through song or conversation, let your joy in the Lord reverberate to others. You never know who you might encourage."
"HOPE CAN BE IGNITED BY A SPARK OF ENCOURAGEMENT"
Look for ways to encourage those around you today :)
God bless,
Megan
