Tomorrow I am heading back to the States :) I couldn't be more excited to get back to the USA to see my husband and then see the rest of my family. I am flying into Chicago and will be there a few days spending time with my brother and sister in law and Lincoln. My husband is driving up, so I am excited about that as well.

Hey All,
I had a wonderful weekend :) I was able to hang out with Lisa, Lesley, and Jen all weekend which was a lot of fun. I went to their place yesterday morning. Lisa and Lesley then went with me on a boat to the European side. We toured the Besiktas area and hung out there for awhile before coming back to the Asian side. In the afternoon we hung out with some Believers from an American Chinese church in Houston which was a lot of fun. It was a blessing to be able to talk with them and one lady asked if she could pray for me and stopped right in the restaurant and prayed for me which was a huge blessing. Last night I spent the night at my friends house and we made some brownies and watched a movie. It was a lot of fun to be able to spend the weekend with them. I went to church today with Lisa and then in the afternoon I hung out with Jen. Jen hasn't been feeling too well, so please pray for her when you think about it. Tonight I get to relax some which will be nice. Tomorrow we will say all of our "good-byes" and then Tuesday I fly back home. I will be flying to Chicago first to spend some time with my brother and his wife and my nephew. My husband is also driving up, so it will be great to be greeted by him at the airport. He has not met my 7 month old nephew yet, so I am excited for Lincoln to meet his Uncle Caleb. Church was great today. The message at my church here in Istanbul was talking about the importance of knowing our calling. I then listened to the message from Thomas Road online live today and the message was about "Leading With Grace". I would covet your prayers as I make the transition from Turkey back to the States. There is always a little bit of an adjustment period, but I want to thank the Lord for allowing me to have an injury free season. I have so many things to be thankful for that is for sure! God bless, Megan Hey All,
I wanted to write a little bit about my season after reflecting some on it. This by far has been one of the most unique seasons out of my 7 years of playing professional basketball. Each season I have played presents different obstacles, but this season seemed to have many. I am thankful for the many experiences I have had this season, although some of them have been hard. What a blessing it has been knowing that the Lord has been by my side at ALL times. In the midst of a pretty chaotic season, the Lord brought 3 girls (Lisa, Lesley, and Jen) into my life who I was able to develop friendships with. All three of them live in Istanbul and they happen to be roommates together as well. I have been encouraged by them, and it has been awesome to be able to spend time with fellow Believer's sharing the joys and struggles that we have faced and endured the last few months. I head back to the states on Tuesday. I will be flying into Chicago to spend time with my brother, Amy, and Lincoln. My husband will be driving up to meet me, so I am super excited about that. I look forward to spending some time home in the States with my husband and then also being able to see my family and friends as well. The Lord has clearly sustained me over these last 6 months in Turkey, and for that I feel so blessed. There have been a couple of bombings this year in my city, and I have graciously been protected from those. The country of Turkey is hurting right now, but we serve a mighty God who is capable to conquer the evil that is at war in this country. May we never cease to be bold about our faith in whatever country we find ourselves in. Tomorrow I am heading to Kadikoy to spend the day with Jen, Lisa, and Lesley. I am then going to spend the night with them and then go to church on Sunday for one last time this year in Turkey. God bless, Megan Hey All,
The season came to a close today. I will write more tomorrow. I am pretty tired, so it is bed for me here. These next few days will be busy with packing and traveling back. God bless, Megan Hey All,

A link to watch our game tomorrow live: http://www.canlitvlive.tv/izle/trt-3-spor.html Practice went well today. It was a short practice, so that was nice and I was thankful to be able to get done early. Well,, time for me to get some rest before the game tomorrow. God bless, Megan Hey All,
I wanted to post a picture with my friends Lisa, Lesley, and Jen...this picture was taken yesterday. The Lord has truly blessed me with their friendship, and for that I am so thankful. Today has been a great day. The weather continues to be beautiful here. This evening I have been relaxing which has been nice. I was able to catch up with my Grandma some and talk with her, so that was really nice. I also wanted to post the link where you can watch the game on Wednesday. I will be playing again this game, so that is nice. We play Fenerbahce at 6:30 p.m. which is 11:30 a.m. EST; you can find the game at this link: http://www.canlitvlive.tv/izle/trt-3-spor.html If we lose the game on Wednesday our season will be coming to a close, but if we win the game we will be playing again on Saturday. Tomorrow we have practice in the afternoon and then I plan on relaxing. God bless, Megan Hey All,
Today has been a great day :) We had off today, so I went to church and then hung out with some of my friends. We went to a park that had a bunch of tulips blooming, so I took a picture. We also got some fresh fish sandwiches along the water. It was a great day filled with lots of walking and fun fellowship. Tomorrow it is back to the practice floor. Our next game is on Wednesday! God bless, Megan Well folks, it is the weekend coming up here! So thankful the Lord has brought us through another week. We have lifting tomorrow morning and then we have off on Sunday.
Today was a good day here. We had practice this afternoon and then I went to the Euroleague Women's Final Four which is here in Istanbul. I watched both games with one of my teammates. I also got to meet up with Sandy and Olaf who coached me some while in San Antonio and then Olaf coached me for 2 years at Liberty; their team will be playing in the championship game on Sunday. I plan on relaxing this weekend. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 75 degrees outside, so I will try to get a little bit of Vitamin D as well. I hope you all have a great weekend! God bless, Megan Hey All,
Today has been a great day here :) We had lifting this morning which went well. I ran a mile and then I also biked 10 miles on my own. This afternoon I went outside some to enjoy the beautiful weather, and then I took a nap. It has been a nice and relaxing day today. Tomorrow we have off, so I am going to go to church with my friends and then spend the afternoon with them. I may go to the Euroleague Final Four Championship game tomorrow as well. We will then be gearing up for practice Monday and Tuesday and then we will play against Fenerbahce on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. which is 11:00 a.m. EST. I hope you all have a great weekend. I also wanted to attach a recent picture of my nephew. He turned 7 months old on April 11th...he is getting so big :). To say I am one proud aunt would be an understatement. I look forward to seeing him soon. God bless, Megan Hey All,
I have to give a very special HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout out to my husband Caleb. Although we are miles apart, I am looking forward to seeing him in a few weeks. It is also my SID from college mom's birthday so happy birthday to you, and it is also my college coach's wife's birthday today as well. All that to say, today is a popular day to be born I guess. Today was a good day here. I slept in a little bit and then relaxed this morning. We had lifting this evening and that went well. I also ran a mile and biked 10 miles to get some cardio in. Tomorrow it is back to the practice floor here. God bless, Megan |
