I just got done a little bit ago skyping with 4 other people. We continued our study in "God's Space" today. Always neat to be able to interact with fellow believers and share personal stories and experiences.
20 days until HOME!!
I am going to talk to my sisters and parents on skype and then hit the sack :)
Tomorrow we are eating breakfast at Starbucks as a team, and then we just have one practice at 2:00 p.m. followed by video.
Gnight,
Megan
Verse of the Day:
The day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives.
— 2 Peter 3:10-11 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...Holiness is that forgotten character virtue that is the Christian's reflection of God, his or her holy and righteous Father. In a day when grace is so easily cheapened, when anything goes just as long as we want to be buddies with Jesus, Peter's words should shock us into reverence - the holy commitment to set our lives apart from the evil and satanic sludge that defiles our world and to offer our bodies, hearts, and minds to do his will and reflect his character.
My Utmost For His Highest
"...always be humble before God, and allow Him to be your all in all."
Our Daily Bread:
What did Jesus do? He took the suffering and guilt for our wrongdoing and paid our penalty. He died and conquered death so we could live. And the fact is, we will never be able to fully consider what Jesus would do until we have embraced what He did do for us on the cross.
To follow Christ in all we do
Can be a worthy goal
If first we’ve put our trust in Him
To save our sinful soul. —Sper
We are saved not by what we do
but by trusting what Christ has done.
