This afternoon between practices I had another Bible Study with a couple of my roommates. We are continuing our study through the book of Romans and are currently in Chapter 7!!
This evening I have just been relaxing :)!! We only have one practice tomorrow which will be nice. Not much to talk about today. Whenever we have two practices, I don't do much besides practice and rest. I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!!
**Congrats to the Lady Flames for beating High Point last night :).

Verses of the day:
Psalm 92:5 “How great are your works, O Lord, how profound your thoughts!”
The words “how profound your thoughts” really stuck out to me! You think about how many times we don’t think the most pleasant of thoughts. Even though peope around us may never know, the Lord knows and sees everything. We need to ask the Lord on a daily basis to hold captive our wayward thoughts. We need to spend our time thinking about the goodness of the Lord!
Proverbs 9:9 “Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning.”
This verse is a great reminder that we should never come to the point where we think we know it all! The only One who knows everything is Jesus Christ. We always need to have an open ear and heart, ready to listen to what the Lord would have us hear. There are important lessons that we can learn every single day!
Romans 7:25 “So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.”
This entire chapter is a great reminder of how we struggle on a daily basis. This verse I think sums up the entire chapter. We find ourselves torn…we want to follow God, but we also find ourselves at times reverting back to our sin nature. Satan will do all he can to pull us away from having a personal relationship with the Lord. Thanks be to God, that he sent his son Jesus Christ to be a propitiation for our sins. Who are you going to follow today?

My Utmost For His Highest – March 9th
Turning Back or Walking with Jesus?
Do you also want to go away? —John 6:67
"What a penetrating question! Our Lord’s words often hit home for us when He speaks in the simplest way. In spite of the fact that we know who Jesus is, He asks, "Do you also want to go away?" We must continually maintain an adventurous attitude toward Him, despite any potential personal risk.
"From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more" (John 6:66 ). They turned back from walking with Jesus; not into sin, but away from Him. Many people today are pouring their lives out and working for Jesus Christ, but are not really walking with Him. One thing God constantly requires of us is a oneness with Jesus Christ. After being set apart through sanctification, we should discipline our lives spiritually to maintain this intimate oneness. When God gives you a clear determination of His will for you, all your striving to maintain that relationship by some particular method is completely unnecessary. All that is required is to live a natural life of absolute dependence on Jesus Christ. Never try to live your life with God in any other way than His way. And His way means absolute devotion to Him. Showing no concern for the uncertainties that lie ahead is the secret of walking with Jesus.
Peter saw in Jesus only someone who could minister salvation to him and to the world. But our Lord wants us to be fellow laborers with Him.
In John 6:70 Jesus lovingly reminded Peter that he was chosen to go with Him. And each of us must answer this question for ourselves and no one else: "Do you also want to go away?"

The Purpose Driven Life – Day 17
“A PLACE TO BELONG”
Point to Ponder: “I am called to belong, not just believe.”
Bible Verse: Romans 12:5
“We grow faster and stronger by learning from each other and being accountable to each other. When others share what God is teaching them, I learn and grow, too.”
