Two weeks until HOME!! We didn't have OFF today, but we didn't practice very hard. We just did some shooting and then had a meeting that lasted an hour and a half. Not too much new on my end today.
Tomorrow we only have lifting and then we have a team activity tomorrow evening. So, tomorrow is kind of "off" in the sense that we don't have practice. Hard to believe 14 days and then I am home. At this time in two weeks I will be getting ready to land in New York!!!!! Back to the USA for a few days :) As you can probably tell, I can't wait.
I hope you all have a wonderful week!! If any of you have any prayer requests you would like me to be praying for you about, feel free to let me know.
Wanted to leave you with a Christmas song that a friend sent me:

Verse of the day:
[Jesus said,] "I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me - just as the Father knows me and I know the Father - and I lay down my life for the sheep."
— John 10:14-15 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...The goal of our walk with Jesus is to come to know him as our shepherd just as intimately as he knows the Father. A key thing for us to remember: In a world where so many people want to attract our attention and are willing to give us advice, we can refuse their voice. We listen to Jesus because he has shown his love for us by laying down his life for us. He is not a hireling, he is the Good Shepherd.
My Utmost For His Highest:
Waiting for God to act is fleshly unbelief. It means that I have no faith in Him. I wait for Him to do something in me so I may trust in that. But God won’t do it, because that is not the basis of the God-and-man relationship. Man must go beyond the physical body and feelings in his covenant with God, just as God goes beyond Himself in reaching out with His covenant to man.
Our Daily Bread:
I wonder—do people recognize such a profound change in our hearts and lives?
If you are going in the wrong direction,
Or if you have no goal in view,
Let Christ transform you, have control,
Then honor Him in all you do. —Hess
Coming to Christ is not merely informational; it’s transformational.
