It is hard to believe I have been over here for 8 weeks already (2 months). To be honest, I don't feel like I have been over here that long, so I guess that is a good thing :).
Today has been a great day! I was able to sleep in because we had off in the morning which was nice :) I decided to cook something since I had the morning off. I went to the grocery store and got ingredients to make CABBAGE ROLLS. I have never made them before, so it was a new thing for me to try out. I thought they turned out pretty well. They will allow me to heat up something quick for a couple meals.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...Dear friend of Jesus, have patience with those around you who are not yet what God intends for them to be -- remembering also that we are not yet what God intends for us to be. In the process of "bearing with" their failings, you may just find that others are more patient with your failings and more thankful for your faithfulness. Of course, the goal of our being patient isn't to benefit ourselves. Instead, we do it to bless others, knowing that many of our brothers and sisters in Christ are hanging on to their faith, hope, and love by the thinnest of threads. Let's never let them go and never cause them to stumble!
"A saint is never consciously a saint— a saint is consciously dependent on God."
If you were to stack up all of the “good” things that we do on this earth, it would not be good enough to earn eternal life with our Lord. Walking the Christian walk is a desire that we as believers should have when we are in tune with the Lord. When we are walking with the Lord, we find ourselves leaning on Him for all that we need. Dependence on God is not always an easy thing to do, but when we surrender everything to the Lord it becomes easier and easier and we realize only then that total surrender equals total freedom!
