Verses of the day:
Psalm 99:8 “…you were to Israel a forgiving God, though you punished their misdeeds.”
God is just…so awesome! He punishes when needed, but he also forgives.
Proverbs 16:25 “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.”
Left to our own will and decisions, we will ultimately not make the best decisions. We need to completely surrender to the Lord and follow his leading and guiding.
Philemon vs. 6 “I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.
Paul is writing this letter while in prison. Just think how much courage it took for him to right the words “be active in sharing your faith”. Paul was put in prison because he was sharing the gospel of Jesus! It is hard for us to believe that there are people thrown in prison for their faith. I mean right now there are people in other countries that go through a lot of persecution for sharing the gospel. Being in Turkey I have heard some stories from different people about police coming to their homes and getting kicked out of the country because they are Christians. I really like this verse, because it is a great reminder to be bold about our faith. When we reveal Jesus to others, I believe that Jesus reveals more of himself to us!

The Purpose Driven Life – Day 24
“TRANSFORMED BY TRUTH”
Point to Ponder: “The truth transforms me.”
Bible Verse: John 8:31-32
“The Spirit of God uses the Word of God to make us more like the Son of God.” P. 185
“The Bible is far more than a doctrinal guidebook. God’s Word generates life, creates faith, produces change, frightens the Devil, causes miracles, heals hurts, builds character, transforms circumstances, imparts joy, overcomes adversity, defeats temptation, infuses hope, releases power, cleanses our minds, brings things into being, and guarantees our future forever!” p. 187

March 16, 2010 – My Utmost For His Highest
The Master Will Judge
We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ… --2 Corinthians 5:10
“Paul says that we must all, preachers and other people alike, "appear before the judgment seat of Christ." But if you will learn here and now to live under the scrutiny of Christ’s pure light, your final judgment will bring you only delight in seeing the work God has done in you. Live constantly reminding yourself of the judgment seat of Christ, and walk in the knowledge of the holiness He has given you. Tolerating a wrong attitude toward another person causes you to follow the spirit of the devil, no matter how saintly you are. One carnal judgment of another person only serves the purposes of hell in you. Bring it immediately into the light and confess, "Oh, Lord, I have been guilty there." If you don’t, your heart will become hardened through and through. One of the penalties of sin is our acceptance of it. It is not only God who punishes for sin, but sin establishes itself in the sinner and takes its toll. No struggling or praying will enable you to stop doing certain things, and the penalty of sin is that you gradually get used to it, until you finally come to the place where you no longer even realize that it is sin. No power, except the power that comes from being filled with the Holy Spirit, can change or prevent the inherent consequences of sin."If we walk in the light as He is in the light. . ." ( 1 John 1:7 ). For many of us, walking in the light means walking according to the standard we have set up for another person. The deadliest attitude of the Pharisees that we exhibit today is not hypocrisy but that which comes from unconsciously living a lie.”
Enjoy the rest of your day!
