Today was a good day but long day. We had breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and then headed out for Riga. The drive took awhile, and we stopped and got a snack but that was it...no lunch lol so I was hungry to say the least. We flew out around 3:30 p.m. and then made it to Istanbul after 6:00 p.m. We had to go through customs which took awhile, then get our bags, then on the way home had to get another passport picture...fun fun. I unpacked, did laundry, took a shower, got food, and repacked for tomorrow!! We leave tomorrow for Mersin. We play on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. which is at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday.
We leave tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. from our apartment and fly out at 10:45 a.m. I think. We will fly to Adana then have about an hour bus ride to Mesin. Hopefully we will have a little bit of chill time and then I think we practice at 5:00 p.m.!
Crazy how fast this week has gone by honestly, but yay for another week about to come to a close. We will have Sunday off, and I am going to get to go to church here in Istanbul. I am so looking forward to that!! Prayers for continued strength and perseverance would be appreciated!!
Remainder of our Schedule:
12/13 - @Mersin
12/17 - @Moscow, Russia playing Spartak (Eurocup)
12/21 - @Ordu playing Canik
12/23 - FLY HOME
Reading for the day:
December 11th
1 Samuel 11/Revelation 12
1 Samuel 11 – Saul is victorious and yet remains humble.
Revelation 12 – A Dragon is released and tries to kill a woman and yet it is not successful. How neat to see the Lord displaying His power in His sovereign acts of mercy in the midst of tumultuous times.
