Just wanted to update you and let you know that we lost our game 74-52. It was a close game throughout actually, but they pulled away on us in the 4th quarter. It will be a learning experience for us, and hopefully we can take away things that we need to work on.
I feel like I am still getting acclimated to the system and learning when girls like to pass, when they like to shoot etc. It has been an adjustment for me coming in late, but I feel like with time it can only get better :).
Tomorrow we have one practice at 6:00 p.m. and then we will play again Saturday, so it is a short turnaround. Always great about athletics, because you are given another chance and another game to go out there and prove yourself.
Verse of the day: Proverbs 17:19-22
“Anyone who loves to quarrel loves sin; anyone who trusts in high walls invites disaster. The crooked heart will not prosper; the lying tongue tumbles into trouble.
It is painful to be the parent of a fool; there is no joy for the father of a rebel. A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.”
My Utmost For His Highest:
“If you are going through a time of discouragement, there is a time of great personal growth ahead.”
Great words here! There are going to be times in our lives where we can’t seem to do anything right so to speak, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Keep pressing on and persevering.
