Today was a good day. I slept in and then went to Lubin with Britt to do some last minute shopping for her family and friends. I actually made a purchase today myself and bought a vest which I like a lot. This afternoon I hung out with Britt and then I headed off to practice.
Britt left while I was at practice. She is flying to Warsaw and then she heads back to the States tomorrow. I am thankful she was able to come and spend some time in Poland. Nothing like having a great friend come to visit!!
Tomorrow we have a morning practice and then we head to Rybnik which is about a 4 to 5 hour drive. We will practice there Saturday morning and then play Saturday afternoon. I will keep you up to date on how we do :)
Verse of the Day:
For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.— Luke 11:10 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...God answers prayers! Recent research in the recovery of surgery patients for whom others prayed seems to validate this. Our experience suggests it is true. The Bible promises us that it is so. But Luke emphasizes one specific answer to prayer that God-seekers receive. God longs to give us a truly great and wonderful gift: his presence in us through his Holy Spirit (vs. 13). Because of the indwelling Spirit, God can do unimaginable things for us and through us.
My Utmost For His Highest:
“The passion of Christianity comes from deliberately signing away my own rights and becoming a bondservant of Jesus Christ. Until I do that, I will not begin to be a saint.”
Who are you signing away your rights to? Ultimately it is going to be to the world, or the Lord? The only person who can bring true fulfillment in your life is Jesus Christ. I will freely and gladly sign away my rights to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Are you willing to do the same?
