Today was another great day :). I did an individual workout with another teammate in the morning and then I relaxed this afternoon. I decided to make some chili today. I found a store that was selling chili powder :). I have to say that the chili turned out pretty good. I will probably be eating it for a few days, which is fine with me!
This evening we had one practice. Tomorrow we will have morning practice as well as evening practice. It is hard to believe that we are almost down to one week until we all leave to go be with our families for Christmas.
Schedule:
December 17th - Saturday - HOME game against Wisla Can Pack
December 21st - Wednesday - HOME game against LKS Siemens
December 22nd - FLY HOME
8 days... :)
Verse of the Day:
I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. This will please the LORD more than an ox, more than a bull with its horns and hoofs. The poor will see and be glad -- you who seek God, may your hearts live!— Psalm 69:30-32
Thoughts on Today's Verse...Our praise should not only please God, it should also produce joy and gladness in the streets among the poor! Why? Because praise invites us to not only applaud God for what he does, but to also join him in partnership as he does it. God's generosity, which evokes our praise, should stir our generosity, which in turn blesses others and leads them to praise God!
My Utmost For His Highest:
“As long as we try to serve two masters, ourselves and God, there will be difficulties combined with doubt and confusion. Our attitude must be one of complete reliance on God.”
What a great reminder that we must FOCUS our everything on the Lord. Sure, we are going to have difficulties in life, but when we are relying on the Lord for strength and help, he will see us through.
