Today was another good day. I woke up early and went and got a nice lift in, then I did my ab workout, as well as did some cardio. We had a good practice this evening and then I have just been relaxing since then.
Tomorrow we have practice as well, and then I plan on chilling the rest of the day!!
God bless,
Megan

Genesis 26/Acts 2
Genesis 26 – Isaac deceives Abimelech and is not honest about Rebekah being his wife because he thought Abimelech would kill them. Well, in the end Abimelech sees Isaac and Rebekah together and realizes that they are more than just brother and sister. This just goes to show that we need to be honest up front in whatever situation…the truth always has a way of being made known at some point. It also stuck out to me in this chapter when Isaac shows perseverance with digging the wells. At first a lot of them were filled in with dirt, so when Isaac started to clear them out one by one, the Philistines kept laying claim to them. Eventually Isaac dug a well (after many were dug and taken) and was able to keep it. I wonder how many hours and how many men it took to dig one well? In life there will be times where we may feel like every door that seems open gets shut just as we are stepping through it. What a great reminder to keep seeking the Lord and persevere; He never promises the road to be easy, but He does promise to see us through and guide us. The tides come in full circle at the end of the chapter as Abimelech decides to join up with Isaac again because he sees that the Lord has blessed Isaac. What an opportunity we have to be a light to those around us. There will be people who can see a difference in us, and that alone will cause a spark to be ignited. We need to be ready to share and show Jesus’ love to the people around us.
Acts 2 – I love Peter’s boldness as he addresses the crowd in Jerusalem. This is amazing “…death could not keep him in its grip” (vs. 24). Peter’s words resonated with many people that day, and 3,000 people were saved. Can you imagine that? WOW!! God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we could ever ask, think, or imagine Him to do.
