The gym we play at tomorrow is really nice! There was a guys team practicing before we practiced, and then there was a game going to be played after we were done with practice. Tomorrow we play at 3:30 p.m. and then there is a guys game tomorrow night after we play.
Good luck to the LADY FLAMES as they start their run through the Big South Championship. Also a congrats to Devon and Avery for making first team Big South Conference, and Jelena for making All-Freshman Team.
Verses of the day:
Psalm 95:3-5 “For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.”
Above is a great verse declaring the Lord’s power and majesty. I mean we serve a God who made the earth and everything in it…AMAZING!!
Proverbs 12:1 “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.”
I think for all of us, discipline can be hard to take more often times than not. Imagine loving discipline…that would be an AMAZING attitude to have. Discipline allows us to grow in our walk with the Lord, even though it can be painful at times. Discipline has many facets. When I first think of discipline, I think of physical discipline. Discipline also includes spiritual discipline. Are you/am I disciplined in reading my Bible, spending time with God, praying?
Proverbs 12:25 “An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.”
I find myself at times thinking ahead and wondering…will this or that happen? I love to plan and be organized. Organization and planning are great, but if taken to the extreme can become a hindrance. I love this verse, because it reminds us not to be anxious, but rather be cheerful. After all, it doesn’t matter how much worrying we do, it is not going to change the situation. God already has every detail worked out ahead of time. We need to let God take control of the wheel and guide our lives.
2 Timothy 4:7-8 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”
It is my desire to find the words above true of me when I die. It is not easy to stay disciplined and consistent in our walk with the Lord. This world is full of trials and troubles…Satan desires to trip us up! The great news is though, the Lord promises that He will lead and guide us, but we must completely surrender to him. This means our selfish desires and wants must be pushed to the way side.
Have a great night! I will keep you posted on how we do tomorrow. Since our game is a little later, we will probably not get home until midnight or a little after. I will for sure blog on Sunday though!!
God bless,
Megan
