We had today off as well which was nice. I slept in and then spent the morning/ afternoon reading quite a bit. I am reading "and the Shofar Blew" by Francine Rivers, and will probably finish it up today! I also ordered some books today to take with me down to San Antonio. I have enjoyed getting to read a lot :)
For supper I made chicken and cheese quesadillas that were really good. Dila. one of my Turkish teammates, came over for one when she found out I was making them :). After supper Dila painted my toe nails...she loves painting nails and toes. I told her she should open up a shop when she finishes playing basketball ;)
Well, I am headed to bed! Back to work tomorrow!!

Verses of the day:
Psalm 98:2 “The Lord has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations.”
What a great God we serve J!!
Proverbs 15:1 “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”
This verse is a great reminder to all of us. It isn’t easy to always keep our emotions in check, but we will be rewarded if we do. When someone speaks harshly or in a strong tone, it usually does not help any situation but rather makes it worse.
Titus 3:1-2 “Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander now one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men.”
This is a great verse that outlines things we should put into practice on a daily basis! Jesus was the perfect example, displaying all the above qualities daily.

The Purpose Driven Life – Day 23
“HOW WE GROW”
Point to Ponder: “It is never too late to start growing.”
Bible Verse: Romans 12:2b
“You must want to grow, decide to grow, make an effort to grow, and persist in growing. Discipleship—the process of becoming like Christ—always begins with a decision.” p. 179
