Today was a pretty chill day. I was able to sleep in a little bit, then we had lifting this morning. After lifting was finished we all had to go back to the hospital to get a flu shot. I asked what the shot was for, because I didn't want to be getting something I didn't need. This is my first time ever getting the flu shot overseas. I have to say, that both instances that I have been pricked (drawing my blood and the flew shot), there has not been much pain.
This afternoon I walked around a little bit of Adana with Jo, and then we went over to Whitt's house (Whitt lives with two Turkish girls), and we ate lunch. Whitt's roommates cooked lunch, which was delicious. We had rice pilaf and some vegetable mixture.
This evening, I worked on some school work, chatted with my family, and friends, and went out and got dinner with Jo. We had a chicken wrap, then topped off supper with a trip to Starbucks :). I got some caramel hot chocolate and Jo got regular hot chocolate. Another days is wrapped up here in Adana! Tomorrow we have off, so I am looking forward to a day of rest and relaxation. I did find out that we are having lunch tomorrow with our GM at 2:00 p.m., so that will be interesting.I hope you all have a great rest of your weekend!!
Go LU!!! LU football opens up in the new stadium tonight :)

Verse of the day:
Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe. Proverbs 29:25
Fear is such a paralyzing emotion. It robs our vitality, decision making ability, and strength. Courage helps us step out of fear's paralysis and turn its nervous edge into power. But this kind of courage comes to us fully only when we know that all Satan and his allies can really have of us is our bodies. He cannot take our mind, our attitude, our faith, and, most of all, he cannot take our relationship with God given to us through Jesus.
My Utmost For His Highest:
After every time of exaltation, we are brought down with a sudden rush into things as they really are, where it is neither beautiful, poetic, nor thrilling. The height of the mountaintop is measured by the dismal drudgery of the valley, but it is in the valley that we have to live for the glory of God. We see His glory on the mountain, but we never live for His glory there. It is in the place of humiliation that we find our true worth to God— that is where our faithfulness is revealed.
*How true is this?? WOW!! I think back on certain times in my life when I was "in the valley", and I can honestly say that my FAITH in the Lord grew tremendously during those times. "IT IS IN THE VALLEY THAT WE HAVE TO LIVE FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!!!"
Our Daily Bread:
The “apps” for phones are nothing compared with the kind of “apps” Scripture gives us. The “applications” of the Bible are direct notes from God telling us how to apply the truth of His Word to all of life.
Take Philippians 2, for instance: The unity app (2:2), the humility app (2:3), the no-grumbling app (2:14), the shine-as-lights app (2:15). Or look at the apps of Ephesians 5: The imitate-God app (5:1), the walk-in-love app (5:2), the purity app (5:3), the tongue app (5:4). And the book of Proverbs? It’s teeming with applications.
You don’t have to wait for someone to offer these on the Internet. Just open the Bible and see the hundreds of ways to apply Scripture in your life. Got a question about the Christian life? Search the Bible. The answers are there, waiting to be discovered.
AMEN!! I loved this :)
I posted a pic of my Starbucks cup below!
Gnight!
