I have been reading through the Bible this whole year and writing each day about things that stick out to me in my reading. I wanted to let you all enjoy what I am learning and maybe even jump on board with me if you want to as we finish the last 2 1/2 months of the year.
Also today marks me being over here for 2 weeks already which is pretty crazy!
Reading for the day:
October 9th
Joshua 18/Matthew 15
Joshua 18 – Joshua orders the remaining tribes to go out and check the land out to see what was left and then it would be divided accordingly. Land is given to the tribe of Benjamin.
Matthew 15 – We are to be careful with what we say. What is in our hearts will come out and we will show the world who we really are. What defiles us is what comes out of our mouth not what we physically eat. Later on in the chapter Jesus shows compassion on the 4,000 people that had been listening to him speak the past 3 days, so he decides to make sure they are fed and a miracle is performed (the food is turned into enough to feed all of the people). How amazing it is to see that the Lord makes sure even the smallest detail or need is met. He may not always deliver when we think is best, but at the right time (His perfect timing) He will!
