I was able to meet up with a fellow believer and go to a small church here in Adana. Most of the service was in Turkish, but they translated the sermon, so that was good. The worship songs were all in Turkish, so I guess I will be trying to learn some of the pronunciations of certain words if I can. I wouldn't mind taking a language course, but it is a matter of finding a convenient time to do so.
This afternoon we ate lunch with the General Manager of the team. He was very nice and easy going which was great :) I ate some delicious fish that was fantastic. We ate outside of the city along a lake that was gorgeous. I was thinking about bringing my camera, but then decided not to...well I should have! Hopefully I will be back around there again so I can take some pictures next time.
This evening I relaxed at home. I needed to finish up some class work as well. I then went to the grocery store with Jo to get some things for the week. For supper I made some homemade chicken alfredo from scratch.
Well, I think I am going to hit the sack. We have a busy week ahead: two practices tomorrow and Tuesday, one on Wednesday, and then games on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We are hosting the Botas Cup Tournament here in Adana.
Hope you all have a great week ahead!!

Verse of the day:
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 1 Peter 1:3
The great truth about Jesus' empty tomb is not that just that he is risen, but that he is living! His victory over death wasn't short lived, it was ultimate. He now lives to make intercession for us until he can return and bring us to his home. Our life is hidden with him so that no one and nothing can take it from us. When he appears, we will get to share in his never ending glory. How can we not praise God for such grace!
My Utmost For His Highest:
We must be able to “mount up with wings like eagles” (Isaiah 40:31), but we must also know how to come down. The power of the saint lies in the coming down and in the living that is done in the valley. Paul said, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13) and what he was referring to were mostly humiliating things. And yet it is in our power to refuse to be humiliated and to say, “No, thank you, I much prefer to be on the mountaintop with God.” Can I face things as they actually are in the light of the reality of Jesus Christ, or do things as they really are destroy my faith in Him, and put me into a panic?
Our Daily Bread:
Whatever your location and circumstances today, may you find joy and strength in remembering the Lord’s sacrifice on the cross. “For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes” (v.26).
