Just wanted to write a quick update and let you all know that I was released from the Phoenix Mercury yesterday after practice. I know I gave my best while I was here and had a good training camp. The coaches were very complimentary and handled everything in a respectful manner for which I was thankful for. I wish the Mercury the best as they embark on a new season this year with some new faces! Go MERCURY!
I am flying back to Virginia today and looking forward to spending time with family and friends.
One plus about being in training camp out here in Phoenix outside of the basketball aspect, was being able to hang out with a good friend of mine. Here is a picture below of Katie and me. We met way back when in Xenia, OH, but then officially connected and met when I went to Africa with Athlete's in Action in between my junior and senior year of college at Liberty University. What a great friend and person Katie is! She has been serving on staff with Athlete's in Action for awhile and does a phenomenal job.
Also, please be in prayer for the people in Oklahoma. How eye opening it is to see the devastation, but once again, God is in control and is Sovereign. May we be ever reminded of the frailty of life and realize that our only constant is Christ!
God bless,
Megan
