Well as I said last night, we lost a close game unfortunately. The best thing we can do is stay focused and committed to the task at hand. We have 4 games left of the regular season and then the top 6 teams move into the next round of games.
Today we had a recovery practice which went well. We just did a lot of stretching and some band work and then I did some shooting with a teammate and some abs. I then met up with a friend who plays on another team for lunch, and then now I just plan on relaxing the rest of the day. I will probably do some reading as well :)
Here are a couple pictures from the game last night:

*The links to watch the other regular season games have been posted under "Info on Following Games" link at the top of the website home page.
Also, I apologize on the reading yesterday. I accidentally read Luke 12 instead of Luke 11, so today I am going to comment on Genesis 12 and Luke 11, but then tomorrow it will be back on track :)
Reading for today: January 16th
Genesis 12/Luke 12
Genesis 12 – It is pretty fascinating to me that God called Abram at the age of 75 years to relocate to a different land. Can you imagine moving at that age, let alone across the desert? How neat it is thought that the Lord went before him and promised Abram that He would make him prosper. What an encouragement to know that God wants all of us to prosper…the question is are we willing to leave our “comfort zone” and GO where God calls us to go like Abram did.
*Luke 11 - How neat that the beginning of the chapter talks about the Lord "teaching how to pray". I also love that in the beginning of this chapter Jesus addresses the importance of persistence. We need to be persistent in our pursuit of Him! Jesus also talks about us showing our light as opposed to hiding it. And finally He closes the chapter by addressing the Pharisees specifically about being more concerned about their outward appearance (what they wear and what they do) as opposed to caring about the inside, which is most important, i.e. their heart! We must search our hearts to see what we need to work on. Ultimately we are to live for the Lord and not for man.
God bless,
