This morning we had shoot around at 10:00 a.m. for about 45 minutes. I walked back to the apartment with Jo and rested and relaxed until I left for the game at 2:40 p.m. I also did some school work...gotta get it done :). No hospital today because the doctor was not in.
I watched Tarsus play Ceyhan for a little bit, and then it was time for us to get ready. We had a meeting to go over a few things, and then we hit the court to warm-up. Today we played Mersin who we scrimmaged last week and won. The game was fine throughout the first half, but then in the second half we let it slip away from us and ended up losing 66-48. As a team, we did not shoot well, so I know we can do better next time. It is hard not to beat yourself up when you remember a lot of easy shots missed, but I am also always thankful to get those games behind me. I am excited that tomorrow is a new day :). Tomorrow we play Tarsus at 3:00 p.m. I will be playing against Shanna and Gorkem. Shanna was my teammate my first year down in San Antonio, and Gorkem was my teammate last year at Cankaya University.
After the game, Whit, Jo, and myself walked to Domino's and got some pizza. Yes, they do have Domino's over here, but the pizza are different. I ordered a pizza with cheese and tomatoes on it...it was good!
Well, I am off to take a shower and do some more school work before hitting the sack!

Verse of the day:
O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
— Psalm 63:1 (NIV)Thoughts on Today's Verse...Addiction has been defined as "God-hunger directed to the wrong source of soul satisfaction." Psalm 63 reminds us this is true. Deep in us is a desire to seek after God because he is not far from us and longs to be known by us (see Acts 17). But often when our soul craving need for God is greatest, he is the last place we turn for satisfaction. Let's earnestly seek after him and slake our soul thirstiness in him.
My Utmost For His Highest:
The revealed truth of the Bible is not that Jesus Christ took on Himself our fleshly sins, but that He took on Himself the heredity of sin that no man can even touch. God made His own Son “to be sin” that He might make the sinner into a saint. It is revealed throughout the Bible that our Lord took on Himself the sin of the world throughidentification with us, not through sympathy for us. He deliberately took on His own shoulders, and endured in His own body, the complete, cumulative sin of the human race. “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us. . .” and by so doing He placed salvation for the entire human race solely on the basis of redemption. Jesus Christ reconciled the human race, putting it back to where God designed it to be.And now anyone can experience that reconciliation, being brought into oneness with God, on the basis of what our Lord has done on the cross.
WOW!! Isn't that incredible? AMAZING!! What a blessing for me and for you.
Our Daily Bread:
When Joshua took over the leadership of Israel, Moses reminded him of God’s help in tough times. In the difficult days to come, Joshua would need to remember to trust God and His promises. Moses said, “The Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed” (Deut. 31:8).
I hope everyone has had a great week so far!! Hard to believe it is almost Friday here, and then the weekend :). I will let you know how we do tomorrow. Game will be at 7:00 a.m. E.S.T in the States.
God bless,
Megan
